WORKSHOP FOR THE STAGING OF
‘COMBATTIMENTO DI TANCREDI E CLORINDA’
AND ‘BALLO DELLE INGRATE’
The project, conceived by the Institute of Cremona, grows in the partnership between the Cremona Institute itself, the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and Mantua Music Conservatory. The aim is the staging of ‘Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda’ and ‘Ballo delle Ingrate’. Both will be performed in Monteverdi’s historical places, such as Cremona, Mantua and Venice. The workshop is opened to young students and newly graduated people from the three institutions involved. Set designers, producers, costume-designers, opéra singers and musicians will have the opportunity to get a deeper knowledge of the Baroque show attending lessons and participating in each phase of staging and artistic set-up and in the final performance.
Organization and logistics will be supported by precious partnership of Teatro Ponchielli within the Monteverdi Festival. Performances will take place in important historical buildings of the three cities involved.
